It was a weird moment in my life. My mom had just told me that I had lost my aunt (her sister). She let me know that Peggy had passed peacefully in her sleep. 

Throughout the course of my life I have had to deal with a significant amount of death, bothin my own life and through the church. I lay in bed, processing the moment and, surprisingly, I felt better.

Last week I took part in celebrating the life of an incredible man. He was the kind of guy who oozed fun and, at the same time, could have the best conversations with you. Pat Kiefer was one of the most amazing men I’ve ever met.

I recently received this journal entry from Peggy. If you recall her and her husband (Pat) are both fighting stage four cancer. I don't think we should ever underestimate the power of the words we speak to each other. Often times I notice I say some pretty mean things, even when I don't intend to hurt it is hard to see the damage, Peggy has some wisdom for us all....
